Abstract
20,340. Wilson & Sons, J., and Allan, F. W. Oct. 9. Ventilating; leathers or sweat bands.-Felt hats are ventilated by providing a series of perforations in the body of the hat beneath the ribbon, similar perforations being made in the sweat band. A hat is shown in section in Fig. 1, with the sweat band turned down. Slots a are cut or punched around the base of the crown. Slots and holes c c', c<3> are similarly provided in the leather. The ribbon, which may be more loosely woven than usual, covers the perforations. The slots may be arranged regularly or in convenient groups, and may be vertical or inclined and of V, curved, or other shape. The usual ventilation holes in the crown may be provided.
