Stoppers.-A method of closing tins, drums, &c. consists in forcing a metal annulus A, flanged at D, over the top edge B of the vessel, upon which is in turn fitted the cover E, flanged at C. The cover may be removed by inserting a lever between the flanges. In a modification, the flange D is replaced by a beading on the wall of the vessel. The space between the cover and the annulus may be filled with cementing-material.
