Abstract
19,476. Imray, O., [Stirling Co.]. Sept. 9. Water-tube b o i l e r s; superheaters, s t e a m. - Superheating-t u b e s 16, connecting upper and lower drums 17, 18, are placed between the front and rear banks of generating tubes 8, 7. Partitions 20, 21 in the drums 17, 18 respectively divide the tubes 16 into groups through which the steam passes in succession. A refractory covering 19 protects the drums 17 from the furnace gases. Suitable connections are provided for flooding the superheater.
