Superheaters, steam. - Superheating-tubes are secured directly to the shell of a Lancashire boiler as shown in Fig. 1, or into the steam drum of a water-tube boiler as shown in Fig. 2, and passing down under the boiler or steam drum are extended upwards on the other side to a steam pipe as shown. There are preferably two sets of tubes, oppositely arranged as shown.
