Abstract

190,365. Venner, D. J. V., and Price, J. Dec. 21, 1921. Chucks.-In a split collet for capstan lathes &c., having an internal line, the latter is secured to the collet by a screw thread connection. The split collet 1 is actuated by a sliding cone-ring 5, and is provided with a liner 10 split similarly to the collet. The liner is'screwed into the collet against a shoulder 7, the screw thread being preferably left-handed.
