Abstract
22,886. Reiss, C. Oct. 22. Incandescent gas lamps.-Relates to incandescent gas burners provided with an arrangement for preventing heating of the inlet pipe n. This inlet pipe is screwed to a mixing-pipe p having a part of larger diameter in which the air passages o are formed, and a smaller part g serving as a mixing - chamber. A conical nipple k is screwed to the lower end of the pipe n. The mixing-pipe is connected to a chamber e formed within a hood e<1> and by partitions b, b<1>, non-conducting material h being interposed and secured to the hood by screws r. The partition b has an opening, opposite to the mixing-tube, and into this the burner tube f is screwed. The products of combustion pass, nearly horizontally, through an opening c and away from that from which the inlet tube extends.
