Abstract
19,024. Smith, T. G. Sept. 3. Vapour burners.-A burner or blow-lamp for heating the vaporizers or ignition tubes of internalcombustion engines or for other purposes is constructed to be accessible for cleaning without the removal of a large number of plugs &c. In the form shown in Figs, 1 and 2, the oil pipe a, b, c, d is arranged so that the lengths b, c are accessible by removing the plug f, and the lengths a, d by disconnecting the supply pipe and removing the plug h. In another form, shown in Figs. 5 and 7, the oil passes through a passage i and divides to pass through zig-zag passages k, l, Fig. 7, in a truncated cone j bolted on the seating p. The zig-zag passages communicate with the burner e through a passage m. All the passages are accessible by removing the cone and a plug n.
