Abstract

2985. Peacey, W. H. Feb. 7. Vaporizing-apparatus.-The filling-material of a vaporizer for internal - combustion engines consists of interlaced lengths of metal, such as chain. The vaporized fuel passes down a central pipe E, and is in part burned at the nozzles G which are so placed that the flames strike the conical walls of the vaporizer and supply the heat necessary for vaporization. A conduit is led from the socket F to the inlet of the explosion engine. A perforated dished plate H may be added. The walls of the vaporizer may be provided with ribs J.
