An annular opening A, Fig. 2, contains the lubricant, and a ring A', which may be of soft absorbent material, is placed in a groove a<1> and between bushes A<3>, to carry the oil to the bearing, the oil being forced into the groove by centrifugal action when the pulley rotates. The bushes A<3> may be dispensed with as shown in Fig. 3. The discs A<1> may be other shapes than circular.
