Lubricant conveyed by mechanical means.- In a ball bearing having two rows of balls, and inner races d, d<1> rigidly mounted on a bush b, in which the shaft c is free to rotate and slide axially, a ring c mounted between the races d, d<1> is provided with spoon-shaped recesses which pick up oil to lubricate the sliding bearing. The device e, by supplying more oil when the rotation of the bush is quicker, serves to regulate the relative speeds of rotation of the shaft and the bush. Rings i, i' on the shaft return surplus oil to the well.
