16,034. Krausch, K. July 29, 1907, [date applied for under Section 91 of Patents &c. Act, 1907]. Ball bearings; lubricating.-In a centrifugal machine, the sleeve 27 rotates with the shaft 4 and is caused to slide on it by levers &c. connected to the ring 30, which does not rotate. The ring 30 is held between disks 29, 31 attached to the sleeve 27 by means of ball bearings 32, 33. The upper bearing is lubricated by an oil-bath carried by the ring 30, and the lower by oil passing through the pipe 46. The balls may run in movable rings in the disks 29, 31, so as to allow the shaft to adjust itself, or they may be replaced entirely by friction rings.
