Abstract

6517. Fakin, K. March 20. Annular-chamber type of engines having two rotating vanes which alternately act as piston and abutment. The vanes i<1>, i<2> are fixed on discs n<1> projecting from sleeves, which rotate on the driving-shaft g. Each side of the casing a bas a bearing-ring r' adapted to be engaged by the balls r<111> of a clutch r on each sleeve. The discs n<1> are connected to the shaft by similar clutches p. Two admission valves s<1> worked by eccentrics h<1> on the sleeves are alternately opened and admit steam to the space between the two vanes, the clutches being arranged so that the forward vane can rotate freely while the backward one is held fixed as an abutment.
