Abstract

190,199. Kauffmann, G. J. Aug. 15, 1921. Check lift valves. - A thin light metal pump valve is adapted to rock freely with reference to its guide pin. The valve member 8 has inner and outer outstanding annular embossed contact zone portions 10, 11 which recede sharply on both sides from the contact zones at their tops and are adapted to coact with the inner and outer annular surfaces 12, 13 on a seat 2<a> screwed into the casing 2. The guide pin 5, which carries an abutment 6 for the loading spring 7, is passed through the central aperture of the valve and is screwed into a boss 4 supported by radial ribs 3. In a modification, the plane portion of the valve is enclosed radially to stiffen it.
