The cylindrical chamber C passes through the back of a pressure gauge, and carries an index which can be adjusted to the required pressure. The spindle D of the gauge carries a semi - cylindrical valve E, which, when the required pressure is attained, is turned to close or partially close the communication between the gas ports G, G and so cut off or reduce the gas supply.
