Abstract
102,688. Jenkins, F. T. May 30, 1916. Reducing-valves; fluid actuating mechanism.- A piston-actuated reducing-valve has a lift valve member formed integrally with a differential piston and adapted to engage a seat capable of adjustment from outside the casing. The actuating- piston E, which is pressed towards the outer part of the casing by a spring F, has a central bore T and is packed at R, S. The part at R works in a cylinder formed in a cap D screwed to the casing, while the packing S works in a cylindrical part of the casing. The seating G, which is bored to establish communication with the inlet B, has a packed part L and is adapted to be adjusted by a screwed spindle Q rotated by a hand-wheel Hand secured by a lock-nut I.
