15,897. Gehle, J. Aug. 3. Locks, key.-Relates to means for withdrawing a lock bolt after it has been only partially withdrawn by a wrong key. A plate d is pivoted at c to the bolt tail a, and rests against a stop e. The bolt is shown as partially withdrawn by the use of a key B smaller than the true key shown in dotted lines. When the true key is used, it engages the end of the plate d and lifts it. A projection on the plate d then raises the tumbler h free of the bolt, which can then be completely withdrawn. A modification is described in which the plate d slides in guides in the bolt tail, instead of being pivoted to it.
