189,437. Prach's Mechanische Werkstatten. Nov. 24, 1921, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Sewing - machines; presser-bars lifting automatically. - In sewing-machines particularly of the rotating shuttle and central spool type for use in darning embroidery &c. the presser-bar is lifted by the needle-bar, just before the latter reaches the top of its stroke, by the engagement of a bess f on the needle-bar with a pivoted member d mounted on an extension c secured to a boss b on the presser-bar. The extension is bent to limit the upward movement of the member d, but the parts are cut away at e so that it may be turned downwards into the position shown at d<1> when the machine is to be used for ordinary purposes.
