Wind and like screens or deflectors. - A weather-shield more particularly for motor-cycle side-cars, is constructed on the roller or sliding shutter principle and is provided with a transparent wind-screen which may be rigid or constructed on the same principle, both being adapted to slide into and out of a substantially horizontal pocket in the front upper part of the body work of the vehicle.. The shield b of sheet steel or other material, to which is connected the transparent screen c of glass or other material slides into a recess or housing d, which is lined with felt or soft rubber or other material e which prevents rattle of the shield and screen when not in use. The screen c is guided in guides d<1>, is adjusted in inclination by grub nuts l, and is held rigid in extended position by a spring controlled plunger j engaging a block k on the end of the windscreen. A rubber strip f prevents the ingress of dirt and moisture into the slides which are protected when the screen is not in use by spring trap-doors g. The shield may be provided with small rollers to facilitate its rolling.
