393,876. Road-vehicle opening-tops. COLE, E. K., Leeways, Marine Parade, Leigh-on-Sea, and ROESCH, G. H., 5, Garlinge Road, Shoot-up Hill, London. Dec. 13, 1932, No. 35366. [Class 108 (i).] A motor-car body having front and rear seats is provided with a door at one or each side of the body opposite the front seats only, a roof structure over the rear seats with window frames at the sides and a retractible hood or roof covering carried by the roof structure and arranged to extend over the front seats. The body is provided with a door 1 at each side opposite the front seats 2 and with a roof structure 4 over the rear seats the said structure having window frames 7 with fixed or movable windows 8. A housing 9 at the front of the roof structure is provided from which a roof covering of roller or other type can be extended over the front seats and attached to the wind screen 10. Fig. 3 shows a motor vehicle in which the roof structure 4 is collapsible, while the pillars 12, 13 may be folded down on to the body. The roof covering 14 is adapted to be retracted into the housing 9. To gain access to the the rear seats 3 the front seats 2 are adapted to be tilted or slid forward in known manner.
