Abstract

301,215. Austin, Sir H. Dec. 10, 1927. Addition to 249,285. Draught excluders. -The anti-rattling and draught-excluding attachment for vehicle windscreens described in the parent Specification is modified in that the retaining wire D laid within the rubber tube C is of channel section with its concave surface towards the edge of the sheet of glass A which it grips, the edge of this sheet being either flat or preferably of a convexity conforming to the cross section of the wire D. The wire D has a width greater than that of the glass A so that the tube C overlaps the glass on its front and rear faces, while a nut E is provided at one or both ends of the wire for tensioning the wire.
