Abstract

187,436. Hoedt, J. C. de. Sept. 30, 1921. Spray carburettors.- A needle valve A in the fuel passage is adjusted by the rotation of a separate spindle D which is held against a conical seating by a spring F. The movement of the valve may be produced by a. worm A<2> engaging pins C<5> when the valve is rotated by the spindle D. Or a screw on the spindle D may engage a thread cut in the stem of the valve which is prevented from rotating. Finally the ends of the valve and spindle are inclined like a ratchet clutch and are in contact. A spring G tends to close the valve.
