Abstract

187,220. Smidth & Co., F. L. Oct. 11, 1921, [Convention date]. Agglomerating-processes.-Iron ores or either powdered ores are agglomerated by being first heated in a rotary furnace 1 under such conditions that they are slightly oxidized, and thereafter treated in a second apparatus such as an endless band 3, or a shaft, or the like, wherein they are subjected to the passage therethrough of air, or air and steam, so as to complete the oxidation and agglomeration.
