186,075. Swann, W. June 4, 1921. Hooks, spring, safety, slip, and closed. - A spring hook for use as a brake-clip for perambulator wheels &c., of the type in which two complementary members are pivoted together by means of a U-shaped member which is made separately, comprises two members a<1>, d<1>, and a U-shaped member f in which the pivot e is so located that its axis extends transversely from one limb to the other. The clip is operated by a spring b. In a modification two members h, h<2> are pivoted together by a U-shaped member i to form a swivel hook. A further modification is illustrated and described in which the open ends of the members a<1>, d<1> are turned inwards and are in sliding engagement. A method of making clips of this type from metal rods &c. is illustrated and described in detail.
