Blocks and shoes.-In a brake for railway &c. vehicles of the kind comprising a block B suspended from a link D pivoted to the vehicle frame, an additional link G is employed pivoted to the block at or below its centre and to the frame. In the modification shown in Fig. 3, links 1 are pivoted at B<2> to the lower end of the block and to the pivot of the links D.
