Abstract

185,326. Calder, W. J. Sept. 2, 1921. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Fastenings for sliding windows; sliding bolts; locks, square-key.-A device for securing the four sashes of two adjacent windows in the closed or one or more open positions, comprises doubleheaded bolts 24, 25 carrying racks 26, 27 actuated by a key-operated pinion 28. The whole is enclosed in a casing 31 sunk in the wall between the windows so that the double-headed bolts can engage in one of a number of pairs of sockets in the upper and lower sashes of their respective windows.
