Abstract

156,361. Taylor, P. C. Oct. 28, 1919. Pivoied-sliding windows. - In pivoted sliding windows, the sashes are pivoted for cleaning &c. on spring- pressed bolts A engaging recesses in the base of cast-iron channels D sunk in the sill and head or in the sides of the frame. To slide the window brass blocks E, sliding in the channels, are provided and engaged by the bolt which can slide therewith when held withdrawn from the recess C by a ledge in the plate H. A plate J prevents complete withdrawal of the bolt. The inside beads are hinged.
