Holders for sliding windows.-In a windowholder having a corrugated spring - pressed catch on the sash h engaging with a strip on the frame, the catch on plate d has studs e projecting into a box in the sash secured by flanges i. The studs carry springs f and securing nuts. In a modification, the catch is formed as a rib or roller on one of two hinged plates spring-pressed apart and mounted in a recess in the sash.
