Holders for sliding windows. -A window-holder for an unbalanced sliding sash comprises a housing 23 screwed in a recess in the frame, a spring- pressed plate 19 held in the housing by stops 21, 22, and a plate 25 riveted to the plate 19 and having projecting parts forming recesses in which are housed a large ball 27 projecting through an opening and smaller balls 26 supporting the ball 27. A recessed plate 34 secured on the sash is engaged by the projecting balls 27.
