Abstract
185,314. Seck, W. Aug. 16, 1921. Liquid-meters.-Meters for use in connection with vacuum - feed petrol and like supply systems comprise a piston or diaphragm a, Fig. 3, adapted to operate a counter h and a pointer k. The counter reads to tenths of the unit measure, and each alternate section of the tenths indicator is of a conspicuous colour, so that during the stroke of the piston &c. under the action of a vacuum, the colour is shown, while on the return of the piston &c. a number is exhibited. The pointer co-operates with concentric scales m, n, Fig. 1, the inner scale indicating consumption and the outer the quantity remaining in a tank. The movable outer scale carries a coloured marker q, which is adapted to engage the pointer k for setting purposes, and is initially positioned to indicate on the scale m the contents of the tank.
