Abstract

339,264. Smith, H. P. Sept. 3, 1929. Pressure gauges.-A scale device which when fitted to an existing or new instrument lies concentrically with and adjacent to the normal scale and is movable relatively thereto, is provided with markings running in reverse direction to the normal scale. The pointer 2, Fig. 3, moves over the ordinary scale 3 reading from left to right. The movable scale 4 is formed on paper stuck to the glass casing of the dial or is engraved on the glass itself which rotates in a ring 5. In use, the zero mark of the movable scale is set to the pointer when consumption commences, the reading of the pointer on the movable scale at the end of the period giving the consumption.
