Fluid-actuated valves. - Liquid-meters of the type in which a definite proportion of the liquid passes through the measuring-apparatus, comprise a series of parallel pipes or bores 12, means being provided to ensure that the pressure at the end of the pipe connected to the meter by a pipe 14 is equal to that at the ends of the other pipes. These means consist of a valve 13 operated by connections from a piston or diaphragm 18, the opposite sides of which are subjected to the two pressures, or operated by a motor controlled by the piston or diaphragm. The bores 12 are contracted at their upper ends 25, and strainer plates 21 are provided.
