Abstract

184,461. Couty, L. T. Aug. 9, 1921, [Convention date]. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Self-levelling apparatus. - A semi-spherical float freely mounted in a basin containing water built into a ship's deck is applicable as a lifesaving device, a mounting for guns, or a preventive against sea-sickness. The float J has three compartments K, 0, P, the latter for ballast, and an upper cylindrical part B with a door C leading to stairs G. Companions A, D and ports F are provided. Buffers or springs L on the float keep it centrally in the basin I which is of similar shape to the float and extends above its semispherical part. Steps E on the deck H provide access to the float.
