Abstract

183,200. Tipping, W. F. April 9, 1921. Road-traffic signals on vehicles; signal lamp on wrist-band.-A signalling-device for use on motorvehicles comprises a lamp 13 or reflector mounted in a casing 11 secured to a wristlet 10 for attachment to the arm of the driver. A switch 20 is provided near the driver's position so that it can be operated as or before the driver extends his arm into signalling position. In a modification, the switch comprises a gravity-operated ball carried in the base of the indicator and adapted to make or break the lamp circuit according to the position of the driver's arm. The lamp 13 may be connected to the vehicle lighting system. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 28450/12, 19545/12, 8345/15, 108,891, and 164,198.
