182,279. British Thomson - Houston Co., Ltd., (General Electric Co.). May 21, 1921. Cut-out arrangements; holders. - A lampholder for use in series circuits whereby the circuit is automatically kept closed when a bulb is removed from the holder, comprises an insulating-member 27 provided with the usual plunger contacts 15, 15a, and with means comprising a pin 22, a spring-pressed button 24 and a metal plate 26 which connect the plungers 15, 15<a> together electrically when a bulb is not in the holder. When a bulb is inserted it depresses an insulating pin 25 and separates the contacts 24, 26 to break the connection between the plungers. The holder is secured to a support by perforated ears 6 projecting from the casing 5.
