Aug. 17, 1921 Rotary-mould-table machines; moulds; pressing plungers and dies pressure-producing mechanism.-A rotary-table machine for concrete blocks &c. comprises three moulds 5 rotating upon a ball bearing 6 around a central pillar 1 having a substantially D-shaped overhanging bracket 2 adapted to support and guide the pressing-ram 7 and its operating gearing. The ram 7 carries a pressing-plate 8 and is aligned with a stationary table 4, being operated by a hand-wheel 16 through gearing 15, 14, shaft 13, and eccentric 12 working in an elongated frame 11. A floating ring 17, having a removable flange 18, is preferably mounted between the eccentric 12 and ring 11 with an interposed roller or ball bearing 19. The moulds are locked in position beneath the ram by a spring belt 20 engaging recesses 22 and releasable by a treadle. Inclines on the underside of each mould depress the bolt 20 to ensure engagement with the recess 2. The moulds are secured to brackets 25 encircling the pillar 1 and bolted together at 26. Each mould comprises a rear wall 27 fixed to the bracket 25, a falling front 29 hinged at 30 and sides 31 hinged to the rear wall 27. The front 30 and sides 31 are locked together by catches 33, Fig. 8, pivoted tc the sides and engaging lugs 34 on the front and retained by catcher 35 influenced by springs 36. The moulds may be divided by partitions 39, Figs. 3 and 10, engaging grooves 40 in the mould slides and furnished with ears 41 engaging recesses 42 skewed to permit of opening of the mould sides. Fig. 12 shows a modified mould box in which the sides are of skeleton form and carry interchangeable panels 44 secured in place by screws 44<x>. The ram plate 8, Fig. 4, preferably acts through an interposed, interchangeable pressing-block 43. The ram may be power operated.
