Pilot valve apparatus. - The thermostatic steam reducing-valve described in the parent Specification which is of the piston and pilot valve type has the liquid-containing space of the thermostat N connected by a tube 4 to a second similar thermostat B placed in a room, liquid, or substance to be heated. The corrugated member 7 which serves, as before, as a pressure relieving device, is adjusted by the screwed cap at the top in such a manner that when the thermostat B approaches a predetermined maximum temperature liquid passes into the first thermostat and operates the pilot valve to close the main valve, independently of the temperature in the first thermostat.
