Detaching from, and attaching to, permanent hubs.-The nut 7 for securing a detachable wheel hub 3 on the permanent hub 1 is locked by a bolt 10 slidable in guides 8, 9 under the action of a compressed spring 13 and provided with teeth 11, 12 engaging teeth 6 formed on the end of the hub 3. The teeth 11, 12 are formed in cut-away recesses 19, 20 near the ends of the bolt, which is prevented from turning either by being of an angular shape in section or by the pin-and-slot device 17, 18.
