Abstract

179,796. Raxworthy, R. E. Jan. 10, 1922. Ladders.-Extending stairs or ladders of the type formed with sides of lazy-tong levers h have projections n on the levers adjacent to the hinges which limit their extension. The projections may be formed by turning over the end of each lever, as shown in Figs. 12 and 13. The treads k are supported by angles l on the sides or in the case of pole treads, these are riveted to the sides. The ladder may be further supported from its top end.
