179,563. Felten & Guilleaume Carlswerk Akt.-Ges. May 7, 1921, [Convention date]. Inductances.-Telephone lines for use in highfrequency telephony are loaded with inductance coils wound in known manner upon an annular core of non-magnetizable and non-conducting material, in order to eliminate the usual losses due to hysteresis and eddy currents in the iron core, which losses in the case of high frequency currents would be very large. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) also states that in order to avoid the skin effect, the winding wire may be subdivided in the manner of a braid. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
