Tubular constructions.-A motor-cycle and side-car is constructed so that the body n, Figs. 1 and 2, is carried by bearer bars p, o arranged to the front and rear of the back axle and suspended at one or both ends at points outside the line of the wheels, and the steering is effected from the body. The two parallel bars a, b that carry the engine are braced together by end bars c, and below the bars a, b are the down-stays g to which are rigidly secured vertical posts carrying the rectangular frame j for the carwheel k. The bearer bar p is cranked at p<3> and each end is formed with an enlarged boss p<4> to which one of the intermediate coils of spring q is attached by shackles r, Fig. 6, so that the spring is partly in compression and partly in tension, and the end bars o<1>, o<2> of the bar o are carried in a similar manner.
