Abstract

177,675. Woodware Supplies, Ltd., and Brown, M. Feb. 23, 1921. Hoods.-An improved hood for side-cars &c. comprises side posts 3, Fig. 1, forwardly and rearwardly directed U-shaped bowmembers 7, 8 pivoted to fittings 9 sliding on the side posts, links 10 connecting the limbs of the members with the posts, and additional bows 11, 12 carried by the links. The posts 3, Fig. 3, are pivoted to angle brackets 4 fixed under plates 5 at the sides of the body, the plates having notches to receive the posts when upright. A pocket 1 is provided to receive the hood, the pocket having hinged lids 13 at the sides and a cover strip at the back held down by press-studs. The lids 13 assist in supporting the posts.
