Perforating or dividing by fusion.-In apparatus for cutting thick plates of iron or steel by fusion, the burner is guided by a templet attached to the work. The burner a is secured to the end of the bar b sliding on a guide c and carrying a roller e, which is pressed against a templet f by a weight. The work g is carried by a table which may be rotated, when making a cut on a continuous curve, by gearing. The speed of cutting may be varied.
