Earth - continuity couplings.- Coupling fittings for electric conduit have a radially - disposed screw c at about the centre of the socket portion the nose of which is recessed so that it just cuts into the enamel on the conduit and the walls of the recessed part subsequently become splayed into an extended fin which is forced into the interstitial space between the socket b<1> and the conduit A. To facilitate the latter action the exterior of the nose end of the screw may be tapered inwardly towards its head as shown in Fig. 6.
