174,682. Wood, R. S. Nov. 17, 1920. Differential or balance gearing for motor vehicles is arranged upon a solid axle. In the form shown in Figs. 1 and 4, the gearing drives differentially two dog-ended sleeves h loose upon the solid axle j. In another form shown in Fig. 7, the solid axle x itself, and a sleeve hupon it, are the driven elements. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 4236/83, [Class 136, Velocipedes], 21147/92, 24196/06, 28106/06, 480/09, and 107,486.
