Abstract

174,280. Whitley, A. A., Peers, T. L., and Bentley & Jackson, Ltd. Jan. 13, 1921. Driving and like chains with separate joint pins.-In chains especially intended for stentering-machines, the pins A are provided with circular but eccentric heads a adapted to be engaged in corresponding recesses formed in the link B, whereby the pins are prevented from turning in the links. The pins may be cylindrical or of the two-part type described in Specification 1571/12. In the latter construction, the mutually engaging surfaces of the two parts are formed with a crosssection of circular arc shape to facilitate manufacture.
