Driving and like chains with separate joint pins.-A chain having detachable links is constructed with the inside ends 5 of the side bars A spaced apart and held in fixed relation by the pin B, which is formed with concave or flattened portions 9, which can be inserted in the hook-shaped ends 3 of the side bars of the adjacent link. The pin is prevented from rotating relatively to the inside ends 5 of the side bars by the concave or flattened portions 9 of the pins engaging with corresponding flattened portions in the eyes of the side bars. Flanges 11 on the pins prevent the side bars from spreading, except when the links,are in the detachable position.
