Abstract

121,430. Perkins, B. June 12, 1918. Chain cowplings. - In coupling-links for ships' cables &c. of the kind comprising two U-shaped parts a, b adapted to interlock to form a complete double eyed link, the limbs a<1>, a<2>, b<1>, b<2> of the respective parts are so inclined that the corresponding limbs have substantial bearing on opposite sides of the same length of the pin c that secures the parts together. The limbs a<1>, b<1> may be of interlocking dovetail form.
