29,120. Langel³ddeke, O. Dec. 13. Shackles.-A chain link is made in two parts held by, and capable of sliding in, a sleeve. The two parts a are gapped and have flat faces, which are held in contact by means of a sleeve b. By drawing the two members a apart, the gaps coincide, as shown in Fig. 1, and the link may be coupled up to other links. The connecting- link is completed by moving the parts a into the closed position, shown in Fig. 3.
