30,205. Zwernemann, H. Dec. 29. Soldering.-Watch chains, bracelets, and like ornamental chains are soldered by placing rings or eyes of solder over the links, closing the links with the solder rings over the joints, and then heating in a soldering-furnace. The rings b may be applied as shown in Fig. 1, or by a machine. Chains soldered in this way may be of the kind in which each link is separately soldered, or of the kind in which consecutive pairs of links are soldered together; in the latter case, one solder ring is used for each pair of links.
