Chain couplings.-To reduce the liability, of the accidental opening of split chain links A, the overlapping parts B are each made halfround in cross-section and of approximately constant sectional area, so that, instead of tapering, a shoulder C is formed between each part B and the main body of the link. The shoulder is preferably rounded or bevelled.
